Meet The Artist

Alyson Sheppard is a Canadian contemporary painter. Alyson has

always had a passion for art and has been painting, drawing, and

sculpting from a very young age. 

Alyson’s abstract paintings are acrylic on canvas, which consist

of bright vibrant colours, heavily layered impasto, water effects,

and often incorporating mixed media.  Her primary source of

inspiration comes from the gardens surrounding her home and

the beautiful Thousand Islands.

ARTIST STATEMENT

My work explores the relationship between colour and texture that is inspired from the beauty of my surroundings. I have always had a passion for art and find a sense of peace when creating.  For me, art allows me to express myself without words.
